Hi, I'm
Miek.

For as long as I can remember, I've felt most like myself in the ocean. Whether I'm surfing, snorkeling, or simply swimming in crystal-clear water, that's where I feel happiest, most present, and most alive.

Travel has always been a huge part of my life, but everything changed when I visited the Maldives. Beyond the stunning beaches and turquoise lagoons, I found a feeling of freedom, connection, and adventure that stayed with me long after I returned home.

I created these group trips to bring together women who share a love for the ocean, adventure, and meaningful travel. Whether you're an experienced surfer or trying snorkeling for the first time, these trips are about supporting one another, exploring breathtaking places, and creating unforgettable memories together.

I truly believe that some of life's best moments happen in the ocean, and I can't wait to share them with you. See you in the Maldives.

Who are Kandu Trips for?+
Kandu Trips are for any woman who loves — or wants to love — the ocean. Whether you're a seasoned freediver or have never snorkeled before, if you're curious, open, and ready for adventure, you belong here.
What's included in the PRICE?+
The price covers 6 nights accommodation, welcome and goodbye dinners, welcome breakfast, a cooking class, snorkeling and ocean activity transfers, a welcome gift, and my guiding throughout. Flights are not included.
Do I need surfing or snorkeling experience?+
Not at all. Activities are adapted to the group, and you'll never be pushed beyond your comfort zone. The only requirement: a willingness to try.
Can I come alone?+
Absolutely — most people do! That's the magic of Kandu Trips. Solo travellers arrive as strangers and leave as friends.
How do I get to the Maldives?+
Fly into Malé International Airport (MLE). Once booked, I'll share all logistics and the meeting point. Once you land, everything is taken care of.
When will I hear back after applying?+
I personally review every application and respond within 48 hours. No payment is required at the application stage.
What are the payment terms?+
A deposit secures your spot once accepted. The balance is due 8 weeks before departure. Full details are shared in the acceptance email. See our Terms & Conditions.

Bookings & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your place. The balance is due 8 weeks before departure. Places are not held without a deposit.

Cancellations

Cancellations more than 8 weeks before departure: full refund minus deposit. Within 8 weeks: no refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Health & Safety

All participants must disclose relevant medical conditions at the time of application. Kandu Trips reserves the right to decline bookings where safety cannot be guaranteed.

Photography

Kandu Trips may photograph and film activities for promotional use. You may opt out at any time by notifying me directly.

Privacy

Your personal information is used solely to process your booking and communicate trip details. We do not share your data with third parties.
